摘要:
The strong equivalence principle (SEP) is the distinguishing feature of General Relativity, which demands that the internal dynamics of a self-gravitating system under freefall in an external gravitational field should not depend on the external field strength. Strikingly, recent studies have revealed a violation in SEP and preferred the external field effect (EFE) of MOdified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND). By examining the unique prediction in MOND, we can understand better the issues of dark matter problems. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the conceptions of the equivalence principle, the EFE of MOND, and some important results in the recent discoveries. For example, EFE is statistically detected at more than 4σ from a blind test of 153 SPARC rotating galaxies.
