摘要:
I graduated from the Institute of Astronomy, National Central University in 2017. Now I am working in the data center of the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, named after Academia Sinica Grid-computing Centre (ASGC). ASGC was founded in 2005 and the original major goal is for the computation of Worldwide Large Collider Grid computing (WLCG). One of the major goals is to find the Higgs Boson, one of the fundamental particles proposed by the Standard Model. As time goes by, we use our resources and the techniques learned from distributed computing and high performance computing to apply to other fields. Nowadays, we are helping with fundamental research in different institutes of Academia Sinica and Universities in Taiwan. For example, Cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) experiments for 3D structure reconstruction of proteins, and alpha magnetic spectrometer (AMS) project which is onboard the International Space Station (ISS). In the near future, we are going to support the simulation and parameter estimation for the gravitational experiments as a member of the International Gravitational Wave Network (IGWN). In this talk, I will introduce the thinking and experiences on my road to my current career, including some DevOps and data science developments, and hope to share with students my experiences from these years.
