"Nuclear Environments around a Supermassive Black Hole"
時間/地點: 2020-11-20 14:00 [S4-1013]
摘要:
The tight correlation between the mass of supermassive black holes (SMBH) and the properties of the spheroidal bulge component can be explained by a balance between the emitted energy of a SMBH during an active phase and the binding energy of the gas in the galactic bulge. However, the detailed physics behind this correlation need to be further investigated. In this talk, I will dig into the nuclear environments and present the high-resolution observations at near-infrared wavelengths (VLT adaptive optics mode) and at millimeter wavelengths (IRAM interferometer). The results allow us to discuss the star formation and the outflows within a physical scale of 10-200 pc around a supermassive black hole. In addition, I will introduce an efficient astronomical visualization tool specially for analyzing the radio data, named CARTA (Cube Analysis and Rendering Tool for Astronomy), and share the experience working as a software engineer.
