The Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) is a new time-domain survey using a new camera with a 47 square degree field of view. The new camera mounted on the Samuel Oschin 48-inch Schmidt telescope providing extremely wide field and high-speed readout allows the survey to scan the full night sky in 8 hours. The ZTF scientific operation has started in March 2018. The survey will produce a large transient catalog for studies of variable stars, asteroids, binaries, and AGNs. In this talk, I will give an overview of the survey, including its hardware and performance. I will also update the current status of the ZTF.
