Born-again planetary nebulae (PNe) represent unique objects in the evolution of the circumstellar medium around low-mass stars (M < 8 Msun). The central stars of these PNe are thought to have experienced a very late thermal pulse when they were in the white dwarf track that produced the ejection of newly processed material inside the old PN. This scenario offers the opportunity to study the wind-wind interaction and production and destruction of molecules and dust in human scales (~20-100 yr). In this talk I present a review of our multi-wavelength campaign to characterise bona-fide born-again PNe using ground-based telescopes and satellites.
